A Note from Michael

I was born in Australia (Aussie Mum and WWII soldier Dad) and grew up in the Bluegrass area of central Kentucky. Farm-raised and basketball-loving, I graduated from UK Dental School  and married my college sweetheart, Carolyn. Following a four-year stint with the US Public Health Service (Bureau of Prisons - a “captive” practice), we set up shop on Florida’s west coast, where we have lived, loved, and served for over 25 years.  Together we have two great--and grown--kids, Christopher and Bethany.

I came to know Jesus as a young man, and have been intensely in love with Him ever since.  He has gifted me to teach the Bible, to mentor men, to encourage couples with my wife, and to share the reality of Jesus with anyone who cares to listen.

Two Bible verses that mean a great deal to me are:

"Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:
If one falls down, his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls, and has no one to help him up."
- Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."
- Proverbs 27:17

These verses have been a guiding principle for me in my roles as a:
